Hexanaut io is an epic io game with four game modes. Move around a hexagonal battleground to expand your territory and slice your rivals' tails.

Conquering territories

Your objective in this game is territory expansion. You must maneuver around the arena, claiming hexagonal tiles to increase your holdings. You must control a character that leaves a trail, and the goal is to surround areas and capture them while being wary of opponents attempting to do the same. If an opponent crosses this trail, you can slice your tail, resulting in your elimination from the game. Therefore, maintaining awareness of both your surroundings and your own positioning is crucial.

Totems: Strategic Enhancements

Throughout the arena, you can encounter various totems, each offering unique advantages. These totems serve as vital game enhancers and add layers of strategy:

• Speed Totem: This totem increases your speed, allowing for quick escapes or rapid territorial expansions.
• Spreading Totem: Automatically captures nearby hexagons, making it easier to grow your territory without needing to move constantly.
• Spy Dish: This totem reveals the territories of other players on the minimap, enabling strategic planning based on opponents' movements.
• Teleport Gate: This powerful gate teleports players as far as possible into your territory, allowing for quick repositioning.
• Slowing Totem: Creates a cloudy area that slows down nearby rivals, giving you a tactical advantage to slice your tails or escape swiftly.

In addition to totems, you can activate special items that drop from the sky during the match. These items provide significant advantages and can dramatically alter the course of the game:

• Cannon: Fires a bullet that can slice an opponent's head, leading to their elimination.
• Scissor: Launches a projectile aimed at cutting rival tails, allowing for aggressive territorial seizures.
• Capture Grenade: When detonated, this grenade captures an area of territory, helping you expand quickly.

• Duo Mode: You team up with others from around the world, fostering cooperation to conquer space effectively. Teamwork becomes essential for victory.
• Pro Free For All: This hardcore mode ramps up the intensity, featuring airdrops and increased speed, catering to those looking for more challenging gameplay.
• Weekly Game Mode: In this team-based format, players work together to conquer 40% of the map, reinforcing the importance of strategy and collaboration.

Competitive Leaderboards in Hexanaut io

Like Snake 3D, this game also features five leaderboards that track player performance. These include regional, game mode, and metric leaderboards, among others, showcasing the top 30 players based on captured tiles.
